Lead your Company

What is your Vision
for the Next Stage
of Growth?

Like individuals, companies as well move through a life cycle of developmental phases triggered by external or internal forces that often culminate in Strategic Turning Points.

Regardless of the many forms these forces may take – whether emerging, ongoing, or appearing as a singular event – your ability as a leader to guide through these inflection points determines the trajectory of your company’s growth.

Strategic Turning Points:
Leaders must navigate

Strategic Turning Points

  • Artificial Intelligence as a historically unprecedented disruptive force
  • Major market shifts and hyper competition leading to price pressure and margin erosion
  • Cultural misalignment and declining employee engagement causing performance losses and weakened identification
  • Innovation stagnation and strategic drift threatening competitive position and long-term direction
  • The founder’s aim to better align personal values and Purpose with his company

These critical turning points demand more than tactical responses. They call for a deeper redefinition of what your company stands for
and where it’s going.

At these moments, it becomes essential to craft a new mobilizing Vision, rearticulate the organizational Purpose and sharpen the strategic Direction.

THE GOAL

In genuinely Vision and Purpose Driven Organizations, the Vision is truly inspiring and the Purpose is authentic, not pseudo.Read my related articleDoes your Company pursue a real or pseudo Purpose?  Both aren’t just polished statements but are deeply embedded in the strategic direction, product offering, operating model, culture, leadership, and above all, day-to-day operational management.

They become the transformative DNA of how the company now thinks, acts, and grows.

The Payoff –
Turning Vision into Value

Becoming a Vision & Purpose Driven Organization unleashes value at multiple levels. Over the years, working with organizations on strategic redirections, organizational transformations, and leadership development, I have witnessed the same pattern emerge time and again:

The stronger the Vision and Purpose, the stronger the buy-in, the faster the change and growth, and the
exponentially greater the payoff.

The impact cascades from engaged employees driving breakthrough innovation, product excellence and elevated brand reputation into deeper customer loyalty – and ultimately superior financial performance.

FROM VISION TO IMPLEMENTATION

How the Transformation
Takes Shape

Drawing on my 25 years of work in strategy, operating model design and organizational transformation, I have brought these perspectives together in an integrated
4-Step Transformation Process.

The process is flexible and has been applied in different versions and configurations across a range of client projects.

As every company brings a different starting point, ambition and capacity for change, you do not need to commit to a full transformation program from the outset. As a first step, we can begin with a focused assessment or a clearly defined strategic question, then agree on the scope and next steps as the situation becomes clearer.

Vision and Purpose are the central points of reference throughout, especially at critical turning points. In my experience, too many strategies are developed without an explicit Vision to guide them.

My Approach to Organizational Transformation

This is a bespoke, human-centered and inspiration-driven approach, tailored to the specific situation of your company.

The process is workshop-based combining focused project work, leadership coaching, and strategic mentoring.

I structure the work around the questions and decisions that require collective attention, combining AI-augmented analysis and concept development between sessions.

Strong Leadership Involvement

My role is to guide the process, contribute expertise, challenge assumptions and help the leadership team turn different perspectives into decisions they can own and carry forward. This includes counseling the leader on stakeholder dynamics and the human sensitivities of change.

By working closely with the leader and their leadership team, it creates deep alignment and shared ownership – resulting in broad internal buy-in and faster, more sustainable implementation.

Unlike conventional consulting, it promotes organizational learning and empowers internal leaders without relying on a large external consulting team.

AI Augmentation

In addition, my fully integrated AI Workbench – continuously refined and customized over the years – gives this lean way of working the analytical capacity required to manage complex transformation processes efficiently and flexibly.

Advising in Complex Change Contexts

After completing my Law degree in Hamburg, I spent several years in Marketing for 2 multinational corporations. After earning an MBA from ESADE, including an exchange program at NYU Stern, in 2000, I’ve worked as a Management Consultant, progressing through several roles eventually becoming Co-Managing Partner at a renowned strategy consulting boutique based in Zurich and Bern. Since 2008 I work as independent professional often collaborating flexibly with other senior experts from my network.

I’m serving organizations of different sizes and in different sectors but with a consistent, specialized focus on Vision & Purpose, Strategic Direction, Customer Centricity, Organizational Change, Authentic Leadership.

Around 75% of my work is recurring business from satisfied clients, which I’m accompanying for years some even for decades in different divisions and teams and on different topics. I'm strongly committed to create value across all hierarchy levels and aspects of the engagement (leadership, technology, process, structure, people), with a focus on implementation and organizational learning.

My projects typically have a clear strategic and change orientation requiring extensive Top leadership participation often up to C-level. Frequently, this means a shift of strategic priorities around a new mobilizing Vision, followed by the comprehensive reconfiguration of large organizational structures, with financial implications in the 9-figure range – including investments, cost savings, and projected revenue increases.

This typically involves steering complex decision-making processes, creating alignment across diverse stakeholder groups, and turning strategic intent into executable change.

Beyond major company-wide initiatives, I am equally enthusiastic about working closely with departments or smaller teams and their leaders to shape their Vision, strengthen team coherence, and enhance leadership excellence.

My consulting approach is complementary, bridging the classic expert-driven perspective (providing solutions) with a bottom-up process-oriented perspective (providing a frame in which the organization provides the solution itself). For optimal effectiveness, I integrate consulting & advising with coaching & mentoring recognizing that the growth of the organization is deeply tied to the growth of its leaders.
